Our Breeding Philosophy:

With our core group of Nigerian Dwarf Goats, our breeding philosophy emphasizes breed conformity and dairy strength by breeding goats that have characteristics and pedigrees that indicate that our animals and their offspring will be prolific milk producers. 

​We also offer goat kids that may be more suitable for the starter farm, homesteader, or hobby farm. These goats could be used for milk, but could also be family pets. For these pairings, we also emphasize temperament and appearance.

 Fairland Farm PK Sicily Island x MeadowMist SW Zouk

3rd Freshening

​This pairing is one where the personalities match the pedigrees! These are two of our sweetest goats here at Terroir Farm. Sicily, a bona fide goat greeter who demands pets, along with Zouk, a sweet ladies man if there ever were one among bucks. Both come from pedigrees that pack a punch and match their personalities. We like the chances of Sicily kidding a high quality milker or future herd sire with great temperaments to match! 

Zouk's dam, SG Rosasharn SH Ginger Cake, is a 5*M, and his sire, Gypsy Moon WP Starwars, recently achieved grand champion at the Georgia Classic in Colbert, GA. In fact, there is not a single dam or sire in Zouk's last two generations of pedigrees that doesn't have an exceptional distinguishment for milk production or inheritable traits!

Sicily's Dam, GCH Fairland Farm AD Island Girl, is a 1*M. Her sire, Little Tots Estate Peachy Keen, is a star sire with a *B. Many more star attributes follow her dam and sire, including but not limited to her sire's sire, SG Little Tots Estate Agave,  with a ++*B.

​MeadowMist HD Wing Ding 1*M x MeadowMist SW Zouk

5th Freshening

Another high quality goat pairing! Pairing Wing Ding with Zouk gives a lot of potential for kids with excellent dairy strength. Wing has kidded quads in the past, and we are excited to pair her, a mature doe, with Zouk, our young, spunky, and sweet buck, who has unlimited potential.

Zouk's dam, SG Rosasharn SH Ginger Cake, is a 5*M, and his sire, Gypsy Moon WP Starwars, recently achieved grand champion at the Georgia Classic in Colbert, GA. In fact, there is not a single dam or sire in Zouk's last two generations of pedigrees that doesn't have an exceptional distinguishment for milk production or inheritable traits!

Wing Ding's pedigree has heavy second generation accolades. Her Dam's dam, Rosasharn BH Cashew Turtle, is a 5*M. Both her dam's sire and her sire's sire have star achievements with *B, respectively.

Pauline x "Calypso" Neehi Farm Unleashed in Wuhan

3rd Freshening

These should be stellar looking kids!  Lots of brown and black, white poll, and blue eyes are all possible! Doelings would be a solid starter goat for a small farm or homestead looking to milk. Any boys will be sold as wethers and will make wonderful pets. One can only imagine how beautiful some of these goat kids will be!

Calypso came to us from Neehi Farm. He is a blue-eyed, buckskin, sire, with a small white poll on his head. This wooly bear is registered and has a good foundation of genetics that contain a couple of star accomplishments. 

Pauline has a special spot in our hearts here at Terroir Farm. She and Celina were the first two goats that we owned! We thought two would be enough to meet our milk needs, but things changed, and we loved having this farm animal too much to not expand into a bigger herd. She is unregistered, but has been a solid milk producer and has good body structure!

Goat Sales and Reservation Policy:

We maintain a reservation list for future kids. This gives you the peace of mind when choosing the kid you want,  and it gives our farm the peace of mind knowing that we have possible sales as soon they are kidded. A reservation is not a commitment; it simply gets you a spot in line. Once a chosen kid is born, a non-refundable deposit will be due. We will work with you on what your options are, as sometimes there may be more than one to choose from. Realize that we can not guarantee to you that a specific doe will conceive or produce the desired sex. If your reservation does not work out, we will do our best to let you know if there are any other available spots in line for other kids. If uncertain what your goals are, we can also work with you on choosing a goat kid from a breeding pair that will fit your needs. 

If you are interested in a pet goat and not one for milk or the show ring, we highly recommend buying a neutered male "wether". They make wonderful pets!

​All kids will be available for pickup between 8-12 weeks of age. However, if you are an experienced goat owner, that timeframe could be sooner. Kids that are not picked up as scheduled will be boarded at a rate of $5 per day. 

Please note that we reserve the right as owners to retain any animal that we choose.
