MEET LENNA

Livestock Guardian Dog

FROM PUP TO PROTECTOR

The livestock guardian dog puppy stands with excellent posture.

PUPPY

Even as a puppy, Lenna was an astute observer and very keen of her surroundings. She had excellent conformation, with tail straight up.

GUARDIAN-IN-TRAINING

After bonding with family for the first six months of her life, Lenna began learning the lay of the land and the general happenings on the farm.

PROTECTOR

Lenna has fully matures into a guardian of farm and family. She has never hurt an animal on our farm and looks after them all with great attentiveness.

ABOUT LENNA

Lenna, our first livestock guardian dog, came to us when she was a puppy from a farm in Florida. We decided that we needed an LGD due to unacceptable losses from predators to our flock of free-range chickens, and we hoped that she would be the answer to our problem. Before she was a year old, she took on the reigns of guardianship at our farm. She has learned so much since we picked her up at the airport in 2020. Excelling in all facets of guardianship, Lenna is a leader and has never backed down from a threat. She asserts her dominance among our other LGDs, yet is gentle and calm around our young children. We highly value her keen eye for aerial predators and perimeter management for far off threats.
