Heart's Pasture is a small woodland family farm in northern Michigan, consisting of a father, mother, and two daughters. It serves as a model for what every family is capable of manifesting: health and homesteading independence.

Every powerful intention starts with a thought. In terms of health and homesteading independence, all it takes is a seed. The garden of your heart can be grown anywhere. Start with a pack of seed, a flock of chickens, or a herd of goats and find that you have limitless power to be had beyond the comfort of the easy life.

Grow your heart's garden in a pot, a flower box, a raised bed, or in the good o' earth.

Tend to your heart's garden. It wants to grow as long as you care for it and give it love and attention.

Practice

Heart's Pasture is rooted in biodynamic and energetic practices. We do not support or use chemical fertilizers, industrial biproducts, pesticides, fungicides, GMO seed, or soy. That means that we do things that would be considered different or "backward" according to today's standards, although, with all of the ironies, that usually means that we do them how they were meant to be done.

Patience

Often time, working with plants and animals gives a newfound respect toward the food that we eat. There are a lot of parts included in growing food and caring for animals, and they all involve patience. Although we would like to click a button and be gratified, it is important to realize that all good things take time.

Presence

There is nothings more rewarding than seeing that 12 pound pumpkin grown from one little seed. That bouquet of flowers that were tended until bloom. The birth of a newborn kid. Being in the moment is important, especially when it involves working with life. When a doe walks up to you and seeks love and pets, it's important to realize that other things can wait.
